In the quaint village of Aptos just steps to the beach, and you are on the white sands, gentle ocean swimming, bars, restaurants, markets and a new convenient bathroom thanks to the State Parks Department.

Unobstructed white water ocean views all the way to Monterey.  A very private property surrounded by giant oak trees, ferns and flowers.  Two story with cathedral/vaulted ceilings.  On the first level is a kitchen, living room, full bathroom, dining area and deck all with ocean views.  The kitchen is separated from the main living area by a wraparound bar with stools.  The kitchen has a large stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, disposal, good pots and pans, microwave, blender, mixer, crock pot, and everything else you might need, even cloth napkins.

The living room has a large soft with an attached lounge chair, tasteful recliner, other comfortable chairs.  There is  gas fireplace that puts out quite a lot of heat, a 32" flat screen TV, DVD VCR stereo.  The dining area has a large table, 6 chairs and 2 folding chairs.  Lots of paintings and a large bookcase filled with art objects, games and lots of books.  There is a pantry and coat closet.  Downstairs are 3 of the 4 bedrooms.  All with queen size beds, large closets, nicely furnished.  Two have an ocean view, two have TV's, DVD VCR with lots of movies.  There is a nice sitting room off these bedrooms with an ocean view.  There is no longer a hot tub.  There is a full bath with two sinks and bathtub.  In the hallway there is an Internet with dialup, desk chair, the second phone.  Off the main house separated by a high glass ceiling and deck is the 4th bedroom.  The deck has a table, 6 chairs, and gas barbeque surrounded with potted plants.

The 4th bedroom has a king size bed with canopy, skylights, gas stove, phone TV with DVD VCR.  Very nicely furnished with some antiques and lots of painting of lovers.  Very romantic.  There is a full bathroom with bathtub, large closet, and 2 windows.

This is a great place to put older folks or people that want to sleep in.  There is also a heater, and in the main house forced air heat.  Downstairs is a washer and dryer and off that is a room with foosball, small beach umbrella, beach mats, beach towels.

Close by is a video store, shopping center with a Safeway.  But the downtown is still in a time warp, small, and traffic free except busy holidays.

Our street is a great place to walk your dog, little traffic, wide street.  The steps by the house are used by all the houses in the area, but if you want more easy stairs, there is a lighted large staircase at the end of the street.

Many people don't realize this, but off season has some of the best weather, October, November, March, April and May.  The winter months are also nice to snuggle up before the fireplace.  We love The Tides of Life and hope you will too.
